ANED represents the DisCos in discussions with government agencies and regulators to influence policies and regulations that impact the electricity distribution sector. These functions include: –

Advocacy on issues of common interest and relevance for the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI):

  • Unified Voice: ANED acts as a unified voice for the DisCos, representing their collective interests on various issues affecting the electricity supply industry.
  • Industry-Wide Perspective: The association takes a broader industry perspective, considering the interconnectedness of generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Identifying Common Challenges: ANED identifies common challenges faced by the DisCos and works towards finding solutions that benefit the entire industry.

Making representations to relevant government ministries, agencies and regulators on policy, legislation and regulations, with a particular focus on electricity distribution:
